EXOFAST - Privacy

Your RV and transit data are written to temporary files (not public facing) as inputs to the IDL program and are deleted upon completion. The final png plots are publicly available, random 18 character strings, and are not indexed by legitimate search engines. Temporary files that were not properly deleted and the plots will be deleted after 2 days (this may be extended or shortened by community consensus), and will only be used for debugging and only then by explicit request from the submitter.

We have taken reasonable precautions against unauthorized access to your data, but no system is foolproof. If keeping your data proprietary is a top priority, we highly recommend installing a local copy.

Each time submit is pressed, we record the time of submission and browser for our records, and standard google web analytics are used. These are not linked to any user inputs.
